Known in the US as a Thing, The Volkswagen Type 181 is a two-wheel drive, four-door, convertible, manufactured by Volkswagen from 1968 until 1983 and was originally developed for the West German Army. All four doors are removable, the windshield folds flat and featured a spartan interior with painted sheet metal, drain holes and perforated rubber mats
